Who We Are
New Life is a non-denominational Christian church. We currently meet at 11 campuses in and around the city of Chicago. Close to 4000 people worship at one of our 23 weekend worship services each Sunday. We are passionate about helping people reconnect with God and seeing lives transformed.

On Sundays we meet for worship and teaching in larger gatherings. During the week we meet in small groups in homes or other meeting places.

About Us
At Community, every thing we do revolves around the 3Cs: Celebrate, Connect and Contribute. We believe these are three key experiences that give you the optimal journey toward a growing relationship with Jesus. We invite you to explore what these core commitments mean and find out how you can participate in them along with other Christ followers at Community.

We have meeting locations all around Chicagoland.

Every week at Community, we talk about one Big Idea: one biblical truth reinforced through teaching, music, theatre, video… whatever it takes to get that laser-focused theme into the heads and lives of our attenders. Students and kids learn the same Big Idea in a way that is appropriate for their age.

You see, Jesus did not confuse people with a lot of little ideas. When Jesus met someone for the first time, he challenged them with one Big Idea: “Follow me.” A Big Idea that was simple but not easy. We try to challenge people in the same way. Every week, we give all people of every age and at every location one Big Idea and ask them to put it into action. The challenge is simple and clear—but never easy. That’s the Big Idea.

The Big Idea gets played out throughout the week as parents and kids, students, and small groups discuss and live out the principles they learned that weekend. It’s not just a weekend thing, it’s an opportunity to grow in your spiritual journey with your entire family.

Welcome!
 At The Moody Church we are proud of our heritage, but the past is not the focus of our attention. We strongly believe that God has called us to meet the needs of this generation through Biblical instruction and deep personal friendships.

God has given a renewed vision in our hearts to become known in Chicago as a caring, culturally diverse community that seeks to transform lives through a clear witness for Christ, quality programming, and the lifestyle of each believer.

Our world is far different than it was in 1864 when D. L. Moody founded this church. And yet, in many ways it is still the same. People still need the message of Christ’s love and they still respond warmly to a caring community. Regardless of position or station, race or color, all are equal in His eyes. All are welcome to worship the King of kings and Lord of lords here at The Moody Church.

Welcome
City Church is a group of people from all walks of life who are being transformed by Jesus Christ. Every week we join together to worship God and to experience a relevant and powerful message, which teaches truths from the Bible. We are passionate about building the church and serving our communities.

What are the services like?
All services at City Church are comprised of two primary elements: powerful worship and a life-changing message. Worship at City Church is led by a praise team along with a talented live band and the style is consistent with today’s culture. Each week the messages are delivered by Pastor Kent Munsey or one of the key leaders here at City Church. From time to time we will also host dynamic guest speakers from around the world. A weekend service lasts for ninety minutes – you can always expect them to start and end on time. In addition, our Service Hosts will spend time engaging, connecting and answering any questions that you may have.

What do I wear?
Your “Sunday Best” doesn’t have to be a suit and tie or dress! Jeans, sneaks, heels, sport coats, boots, button downs, skirts, t-shirts, casual, comfortable, cool – are all acceptable. Come as you are… we do.

What about my children?
CityKIDS, the children’s ministry at City Church, is designed uniquely for ages six weeks through twelve-years-old. While in CityKIDS, your child will experience engaging in age-appropriate Bible lessons, music and activities all developed to point your child toward a daily relationship with Christ. CityKIDS experiences are staffed by dedicated volunteers who will be there week after week to care for and love your child. CityKIDS utilizes a state of the art check-in system that ensures a safe environment for your child and also allows for efficient drop-off and pick-up for parents.
